In July, Learning Life Company was awarded a grant by the Idaho Department of Juvenile Justice to teach Life Skills and Service Learning at the Coeur d'Alene Tribe in Plummer and Worley, Idaho.
Director Wendy Snodgrass was trained in August to teach the Botvin Life Skills curriculum as part of the grant. (www.lifeskillstraining.com)

Learning Life Company has increased its interest in the at-risk community, including in the healing and reform of youth status offenders (small crimes).
In August 2014 Director Wendy Snodgrass completed 16 hours of training to be a facilitator of "Restorative Conferencing" which is one method of Restorative Justice. The goal? To reform offenders before they get stuck in 'the system' and to heal victims and communities.

My mother’s words were ringing in my head as I walked into the police station with my son.
We are advising this great class of YVA volunteer students.We support 30 students by meeting with them monthly to discuss their experience, then we implement life skills into their volunteer schedule and perceptions; and then we discuss the common core / academic relevance in their volunteer efforts. Five of the students came to us to create a volunteer plan for them.
